Feeling overwhelmed by the idea of starting a blog? I’ve been there too. The technical setup, design choices, content planning—it all seems overwhelming when you’re just trying to share your ideas online.
In this post I will show you how you can start a blog with AI in the easiest way! It will only take you less than 1 hour and the cost is less than 1 cup of coffee a month!
This is the only Bluehost WordPress tutorial you will need to create a blog with AI with zero experience. The WordPress AI website builder is perfect for beginners and all their AI tools are included for free as part of their cheapest hosting plan.
The truth is that learning how to start a blog with AI has never been simpler. WordPress is the most popular platform for a reason, and these AI tools make it incredibly accessible.
For every single step I added screenshots so you can just follow along with me and have your blog ready in an hour so you can start blogging today.
So let’s get right into it.

How to Start a Blog With AI – Step By Step
Step 1 – Choose a Niche
It is important to choose a highly profitable niche. Otherwise, your blog won’t be able to scale and earn significant income.
Let’s explore the most profitable affiliate marketing niches on Pinterest.
Why Pinterest? As a blogger, you would want to use Pinterest traffic as much as possible and not rely only on Google organic traffic. Pinterest can be a huge game-changer in your website traffic.
I started driving traffic from Pinterest right from the beginning of my blog (following Sophia Lee’s Pinterest strategy), and today, half of my blog traffic comes from Pinterest, and every minute that you spend on this platform is worth your time.
Here are the most profitable affiliate marketing niches on Pinterest:
- Home Decor (How to start a craft & DIY blog)
- Fashion and Style
- Food and Recipes (How to Start a Recipe Blog – Step By step)
- Travel (Guide: How to Start a Travel Blog and Make Money as a Travel Blogger)
- Wedding Planning
- Health and Wellness (Guide: How to Start a Beauty Blog and Make Money)
- Gardening
- Parenting
- Business
- Personal Finance
Get ChatGPT to Help You Find a Niche
If you have trouble deciding on your niche and target audience, ChatGPT can also help you choose the right niche. Give ChatGPT a list of niches you are interested in or know about, ask ChatGPT to analyze each, and give recommendations about profitable sub-niches you can write about.
Finding a profitable sub-niche and going deep into your niche when writing your blog posts are the best ways to be successful with Google SEO and your Pinterest traffic.
Step 2 – Set Up Your Web Hosting and Domain
Click this exclusive link to get Bluehost for really cheap.
Choose the currency you want to pay with; I am using USD in this example.

The Starter plan is all you need as a beginner.
With the Starter Plan you will get the AI site creation tools, ideal for up to 40k website visitors a month (this can take years until you reach this number), 24/7 chat support for any questions, free SSL, free Malware scanning for extra blog security and more.
For a basic blog website, you’ll likely need 5-10 GB of SSD storage for your initial setup (this is why the Starter plan fits your needs). This amount should be sufficient for text-based content, images, and typical blogging plugins.
What is an SSL certificate used for in web hosting?
SSL certificate establishes a secure and encrypted connection between a website and its visitors. This ensures that sensitive data, like login details or payment information, is protected from interception by third parties.
For example, if you are going to have a contact form on your website or sell digital products, you would want your visitors to be safe when filling out their details. Once you publish your blog, the SSL certificate will show as https:// at the beginning of your domain name.
Step 3 – Get a Free Domain – Choose a Name for Your Website
Fill out your domain idea and click on the blue button, ‘Search for Domain’.
It’s better to add Domain Privacy (to keep your personal details private if anyone searches for the domain owner’s details online); however, you can always add it later, so you can skip this for now if you prefer.
If the domain is available, it will take you straight to the checkout page, and you can see your domain name under ‘Basic Hosting’.

Legal pages – legal pages are a must to legally protect your website or blog from legal liability.
I purchased all of my legal templates from lawyer Amira because I could cover all of my legal needs for as little as a few hundred dollars. You can read my blog post here about which bundle is the right one for your blog.

Step 11 – Optimize Your Posts for SEO
Here are the 3 most crucial steps to perfectly optimize your posts –
- Do keyword research – find low competition keywords for your blog posts so you’ll have a higher chance of ranking on Google. Check my guide – How to Find Keywords for Blog Posts.
- Create high-quality content that brings value to your target audience.
Share your own experience and unique spin on the topic. You can use an AI writer to speed things up and help you create content much faster. One popular AI writer is Jasper AI, which is all about speeding up and improving the content creation process. Jasper is designed to write content, generate content ideas, and make a content plan.
- Optimize your content for SEO using an AI SEO optimization tool like Neuronwriter or Surfer SEO.
My SEO Tools & WordPress Plugins
Yoast SEO – WordPress SEO Plugin
Yoast SEO is the best plugin for SEO, and I have been using it for years! You will already have it installed as part of your Bluehost WordPress installation, which is great. The free version of Yoast is all you need!
NeuronWriter
Can help you optimize your blog posts for higher rankings on Google. I use it to optimize my posts for SEO and to get relevant keyword suggestions. Every new post I write on my blog is with the help of NeuronWriter (if you want to check it out, you can read my review of all NeuronWriter features here).
This is a full SEO and keyword research tool –
This is my go-to keyword research tool. If you want your posts to rank on Google, you must do proper keyword research before creating your content plan and choosing the keywords you want to target.
I chose it because it is extremely user-friendly and the most reliable option for keyword research. Although it is more expensive than other keyword research tools, it is much more comprehensive and includes plenty of other features that other SEO tools don’t offer.
You can also sign up for 1 month, do keyword research for 6 months, and cancel at the end of the month.
⇒Use this link for SEMRUSH free trial.
This one is a must for your website to load fast. Shortpixel is a WordPress plugin that automatically optimize and compress every new image you upload to your website (and when you install it, it will also compress all existing images). Fast loading time is one of the most important factors for SEO and a great user experience.
I’ve been using this plugin for years, and it works great and is very affordable.
Pretty Links for affiliate marketing
This WordPress plugin will shorten every messy affiliate link into a short, branded link on your website.
It will also organize all your affiliate links on your WordPress dashboard so you can grab any of them quickly and edit the link in one place if a company changes its affiliate programs – every edit will impact all the places where you inserted this link before, which is a lifesaver.
Step 12 – Your WordPress Plugins
To see all your WordPress plugins, navigate to Plugins – Installed Plugins –

You can always add a new plugin (clicking on the button at the top), activate or deactivate a plugin, or remove a plugin completely by deleting it from your site.
Want to change Your WordPress theme?
→Click on Appearance
→Click on Themes
→If you want to change to a free WordPress theme, click on ‘Wordpress. org themes’.
→If you have a theme that you purchased and want to use for your blog, click on ‘Upload’.

Take blogging courses to shorten your way to monetization
I took a lot of blogging courses in the past few years, however, these 2 courses are absolutely a must to get results from your blog and master the traffic to your blog –
Begginers Blogging Bundle (Perfecting Blogging + Perfecting Pinterest) – and you can read my review of Sophia Lee’s Blogging Courses here:
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing – absolutely a must if you want to make significant income with affiliate marketing as blogger.
Here is my complete review of Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing:
3 best ways to monetize your blog
Affiliate Marketing—Earn a commission every time someone clicks on your affiliate link and buys through your link.
It is very simple when you refer your readers to tools you are already using yourself. This is the best way to make money blogging as a beginner, and this is how I made more than $3000 in my first year of blogging.
If you master the skill of affiliate marketing, you will not regret the time you put into it. I started developing real affiliate marketing strategies for my blog when I took the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course as Michelle Schroder Gardner got to the point where she makes about $50k a month only from her blog (that’s insane!)
Ads on your blog – This is another passive income source that you can EASILY generate from your blog, and it is 100% passive. If you already have traffic to your blog, you only need to apply to a media company and place the ads on your blog, and that’s it.
It does take time to increase the number of visitors to your blog, but if you are consistent with posting new content, you will eventually achieve this.
Sponsored Posts – This is a HUGE one.
Most bloggers don’t really know how to be profitable with sponsorships and how to negotiate with brands to increase the pricing of sponsored posts.
I took the Making Sense of Sponsored Posts course (another course by Michelle Schroeder-Gardner) and it is worth so much more than what I paid for it (one sponsored post deal will make you much more than the price of the course:).
