I have also been using the eRank Basic plan for more than a year. As EverBee expanded its toolset, I decided to discontinue my subscription to two separate Etsy keyword research tools and stick with EverBee.
The truth is, both tools promise Etsy sellers to boost their Etsy SEO and grow their business, but they’re completely different when it comes to ease of use and the data you can pull from them.
In this honest comparison of Everbee vs eRank, I’ll break down exactly what each tool offers, which one gives you better bang for your buck, and which one will help you find profitable keywords faster. Let’s dive right into it!
What is eRank?
eRank is a cost-effective Etsy SEO tool that combines keyword research, competitor analysis, and market insights.
You can use their Keyword Explorer to check monthly search volumes and competition levels for any product idea (for up to 100 searches a day). The tool also shows you average click-through rates and search trends over time.
Plus, you can analyze competitor listings and their tags and check specific shops’ earnings and sales.
What is EverBee?
All on one Etsy research and analytics platform designed to help sellers find profitable products to sell, do research, and optimize their listings.
EverBee focuses heavily on product analytics and competitor sales data. You can see who the best sellers are for every keyword research and filter their sales data in one click to see the top earners and if this product is profitable for you to start selling.
The platform offers keyword research tools, a Chrome extension to search directly on Etsy, shop analytics, and more. EverBee has grown tremendously in the past few years and now also offers some unique features, like email marketing.

Chrome Extension
EverBee – Chrome extension for Etsy. New features to analyze data for Shopify and Amazon sellers are coming soon.
What I love about this EverBee extension is that it displays the volume of searches for all relevant keywords directly in the drop-down box, eliminating the need for separate searches for each keyword. This saves a lot of time.
eRank – Chrome extension to help you do keyword research for Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, and Printify sellers.
Personally, I didn’t find this extension very useful (and removed it from my Chrome) as you would need to click on the extension to open it for every search you make to find only the data of this specific keyword. There is no information showing in the drop-down menu for relevant keywords.
Keyword Research Tool
Both tools will show you the most important product research data, like the volume of searches and competition.
EverBee – will show you the monthly search volume, the competition, and the keyword score (indicates how easy it’s to rank on Etsy with this keyword).
eRank – will show the search volume, competition, average clicks, and search trend over the year.
Competitors’ Sales Data
EverBee – In my opinion, EverBee nailed that feature. When you search for a keyword using their Product Analytics feature, you can view all the product listings and their sales data next to it for that specific keyword. You can filter by the listings that make the most revenue and quickly find the best sellers and how much they earn.
You can also click on each of these products in the table and it will take you straight to their listing on Etsy, so you can have a closer look at the product.
Here is what it looks like –
eRank – You can see your competitors’ sales data under the top listings tab when you are doing keyword research.
This is a different process from EverBee. The truth is, it took me months (!) to actually see this information as the dashboard is not that straightforward.
Competitors’ Tags
EverBee – when doing product research, the tags of each of the listings ranking for that keyword will show up under the ‘Tag Analytics’ tab.
Erank – you can find the tags of a competitor only if you analyze the whole shop and find this specific listing (very time-consuming).
Connect Your Etsy Shop
EverBee – easily connect your shop and see all your Etsy listings data (sales, revenue, listing age, tags, reviews, and more)
Erank – once your shop is connected, you’ll see your general shop stats on the dashboard (like number of total sales and number of active listings). To see every listing’s stats, you will need to go deeper and download a report. Again, it’s not easy to quickly find what you are looking for.
Analyze Specific Shops
EverBee – Use the ‘Shop Analyzer’ to analyze any shop you want. The data for all listings is presented in a table, with each listing having a row containing all the necessary data. Very easy to sort by any filter you want and see their best sellers (most useful for shops with hundreds of listings).
Erank – Under competitor research, you can click the ‘shop info’ tab and search by a specific shop name to view all their listings.
User Experience
EverBee – User-friendly and very easy to start using the tool without any prior training. The menu and features are self-explanatory, and you can be up and running, doing product research, in no time.
Erank – too complicated. Simply browsing their left-hand side menu can leave you feeling overwhelmed, not sure where to find what you’re looking for. Data is spread out over too many tabs, and it is not easy to find what you are looking for.
Profit Calculator
EverBee – 2 calculators.
One is called Standard and it includes the listed price and shipping price, the cost of the item, the shipping cost of the item, advertising and payment method fees.
The second one is Advanced and it is great for sellers who create their products using multiple materials, paying for labor and packaging of the item.
Erank – 2 calculators.
The first one is the Profit calculator, which includes all types of costs, ads, fees, and taxes.
The second one is an ROI calculator, calculating your return on investment when using Etsy Ads.
Support
EverBee – 24/7 chat with a real person. They reply in a matter of minutes (tried it multiple times).
eRank – The chat box is for sending messages, and they’ll respond with an email when they can. No support over the weekend.
Free Plan
EverBee’s Hobby plan allows you to make up to 10 keyword searches and view the number of views and reviews during product analytics.
Erank – you can use the free plan for up to 5 keyword searches a day.

eRank vs EverBee – which one is better for Etsy Business Growth?
Comparing the pricing of these two Etsy research tools reveals a significant difference. However, in my experience, they are completely different in terms of the data you can pull from each of them and how easy it is to find what you want.
It depends on your budget and where you are in your Etsy journey. If the cost of EverBee is something you can afford, then it is very much worth it.
Both EverBee and eRank will help you sell on Etsy more successfully – you just need to pick the right fit for you!
